Sporran LondScot Named, KIA SOLD

London Scottish sporran, nice condition, complete with its badge and belt. Marked to back by its former owner ‘F.J.R. Cook’, in the pouch a pass to his (depot) unit and name. Cook was KIA when his unit was engaged in ‘the battle for the Transloy Ridges’ (Somme, 6-12 october 1916), recorded missing on the 11^th oct. His name figures on the Thiepval Memorial and, being an Australian resident (!) on the Australian Commemorative Roll. Exceptional and moving piece…
